Wisdom and understanding from God is like a lamp shining on the path before us so that we can see where we are going and avoid the stumbling blocks along the way. This site is dedicated to providing wisdom and understanding about God so that we may avoid running into those "trees" in life.

My name is Brendan Murphy and I am the author of this site and I have been a christian since 1980. If this is your first time visiting this site, I invite you to spend some time poking around. I think you will find a lot of interesting stuff.

This book explores the existence of God through the miraculous works He performs. This writing is a collection of true stories from family, friends and my own testimony. God answers prayer to show us He is there and hearing how God works in the lives of real everyday people will be a source of inspiration and encouragement. If you have never seen God answer prayer, you will be amazed at what what you are about to read. These stories are a small slice of the countless miracles that God has done throughout the centuries. The apostle John wrote, “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written.” (John 21:25) Let these stories grow your faith that God is there and He loves you.

A new section was added to this called, "A Tribute to Our Father."

This is a tribute to my families’ earthly father, but is also a tribute to our heavenly Father who transformed a sad time in our lives into a very beautiful tapestry. This booklet is a compilation of the experience of my family leading up to, and during, our father’s final days before he went home to be with the Lord.

In the death of my father, God has birthed new life in our family in the form of unity, fellowship, resolution of grief, restoration of family relationships, healing of broken hearts, and the preeminent establishment of God’s steadfast love. I believe the full fruits of events have yet to be fully revealed. Dad’s greatest ministry to the family was his final years. This is like when Jesus foretells of his death:

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” (John 12:24)

My desire in writing this tribute is to encourage you to honor your parents.

The Bible speaks of the second coming of Jesus in glory and power and the events that will happen before He returns. As we look around the world we see evil springing forth in abundance and we wonder where it is all going and if His return is imminent. There are many conflicting interpretations of the end time events, but the word of God is singular in its meaning of what is to come. This book provides insight into these events by answering some of the most difficult questions and providing a framework and context in which to build a proper understanding of what is to come. Before Jesus returns, there will be a revival of unprecedented proportions and a restoration of the fear of God that will sweep the earth. Repentance will be the cornerstone of the coming revival and God is going to pour out His grace in overflowing abundance.

When one hears the word antichrist, many images can be recalled in the mind because of the many references that have floated around in society. Jesus spoke of an hour of testing which is about to come upon the whole world.

“Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” (Revelation 3:10)

That time of testing begins when the antichrist is revealed. We will look at the scriptures and examine what they say about the antichrist who is to come. This book is a companion to the book called "In the Last Days.”
